'Ready For Love' Faerie Skirt

A Whimsical Parade of hand-me-down chokers
and midnight bets,
Spitting out sweet reminders...

Stuffed,
Tucked ,
Crammed,
Shoved,
Smooshed,
Packed,
Wedged.
Waiting...

I know...
that I really don't know
everything that there is to know...

Traipsing away from a field of free wishes,
losing sight and sound and along the way,
losing all the fears that keep so many tethered here

Free

Spinning, weaving, sewing threads of my own
Tethering myself to where I want to be...

She sees Things, Singleton Hippie Peace Art

She sees Things
(c) Singleton 2008

"He watches her,
quietly digging her toes into the sand,
tracing the hermit crab's trail with her fingertips...
watches the smile,
a polaroid pixie,
whimsically painting it's way up her face...

He knows
she knows...

She sees things....

Old faces in
bent trees,
Sad eyes
in lost marbles found again,
Promises
on butterfly wings,
Accidental hearts
on the tea~stained counter top....

She sees things,
because....

She believes"

Recycled cardboard, shaving cream, food coloring, colored markers, acrylics, watercolors and ink....

This little Hippie went to town...
painting on the porch with the wind...
Waterspots, inksplots and paint drops....
Accidental art....
And doesn't that mean, it was meant to be....

Catching Marbles in the Rain, Singleton 2006, Outsider Art

Catching Marbles in The Rain
Outsider Art
(c) Singleton 2006

SOLD

In the early morning, sleepless,
"wandering the halls til almost dawn"
hours
I gave up and
trapsed outside
head banging
coughing
from a too late night
and
found her there
dancing in the knee high grass,
catching marbles in the rain.

A Saint or a Fool, Singleton Outsider Art

A Saint Or A Fool

(c) Singleton 2006
Self Portrait from The Pink House

Sold to the safe-keeper of my thoughts

I forgot to tell you about the yellow butterfly,
And I'm sorry....
I would have liked to have left you with at least that...
so that you, too,
could understand
the
promise
of peace.
She'll flutter by you anyway.
It's just a shame
that you won't
raise your fingertips
to the sky
and throw her
kisses.

Last One Standing, Singleton Outsider Art, 2006

Last One Standing
Outsider Hippie Art
(C) Singleton 2006

SOLD PRIVATE COLLECTION

Sometimes the only safe place left is amongst the ever shifting sands...where drip castles change with the tides and time is just a drift....where good stuff washes ashore and the dark and lurking sea can stretch her foamy green fingers into our world and gobble back the bad....swallowing it forever....
Standing here, toes touching the very edge of the world....
I see the face of forever...

The Farmer's Grand Daughter-Singleton-Outsider Art

'The Farmer's Grand-Daughter'
Outsider Art
(c) Singleton 2006

SOLD

Her dirty little feet pad the wet earth with such familiarity, such primitive "at-homeness" that it is only natural the earthworms follow her footsteps like an army. Doing the hot, sweaty, summertime work for her. She hovers over the emerging seeds, blessing them as they learn to crawl from the sand and stretch, leaves dancing toward the sun. She is the protector, the care giver, the sun and the rain and the cool soft blanket of the moon. She is the grandaughter of the farmer. And her garden will grow.

God bless you KimCam.
Can't wait for that pickled okra!

Beer Garden Fairie

The Beer Garden Fairie
(c) Singleton 2006
Outsider Hippie Art

She flits into the party barely noticed, fluttering from barstools to the dance floor. Careful, her magic is mischief ; and a fool and his beer is all she needs to cast her spell. "Caught in the act", she freeezes in the headlights, but just for a moment. Her mission is to paint the night with pixie-like passion, ego friendly flights, and beauty...in the eyes of the random beholder. What you do with the memory in the morning is your own hangover.
