Moon over my River, Singleton Hippie Art

Moon Over My River
(c) Singleton 2011
Words and Hippie Artwork

"And there at the muddy banks,
I tiptoed in to my knees,
to my hips,
felt the deep green rush
of darkness
and the blessings of trillion year old sea animals...
watching...
until I was
under
the
water...
until my hair was phosperescent seaweed dancing on the surface...

Until I was free..."

Watercolors, markers and sharpies on the flip side of an abandoned painting.

Singleton Hippie Art, The Crying Moon

(c) Singleton
2009
The Crying Moon

"She sat sky high
in the paisley colored night,
weeping...

and a zillion miles
away
under her tattered lace petticoat,
rhinestone stars twinkling...

the world danced.

Silly little stick people..."

Watercolors, pencils, ink, markers on 9 x 12 Strathmore paper...A little hippe hoo~hah whipped up the morning after the full, full moon....

Moody little Moon, Singleton Hippie Art

Moody Little Moon
(C) Singleton

"Hovering...
Hanging out on top of my world,
loitering,
lounging,
listening.....

The many faces of the night changing...."

Colored markers, pencils, ink on Cardstock....
Sometimes peace is found in the midst of chaos....
And sometimes you just have to be a hippie to believe....

Listening, waiting for les frivolites to answer....I believe....in peace and love and people....
And the spirit of the ocean....
and honesty....
Every now and then I'll throw away pennies, toss them silly in a wishing pond....
31,000 pennies later....
And we don't have our barefoot boots......

But still.... I believe.....

The Moon in her Arms, Singleton Hippie Art 2009

(c) Singleton 2009
SOLD

She wooed him,
cooed him,
reached out to him
with long ballet fingers,
butterflies to his latenight soul...
And he went to her,
basked in her warmth...
and found himself at home....

At the wrong time,
in the wrong place ,
in her arms
and
Accidently in peace...

Love Now

SOLD

I sing...
Ten thousand
sweet nothings
never whispered in your ear....
And time has wings...

Say it now....
In sidewalk chalk colors....
LOVE.....

Over and Over Again...

LOVE...

Love may last forever, but these moments do not
They keep coming and going, each one faster than the one before
ten til two in the morning, two past ten at night
I Love You
so while the world around me lays asleep
I creep out into the street
scribbling,
with my chin on my knees
chalk in my fingers
and you in my heart

...Love

Twig Spells, Singleton, Outsider Art

TWIG SPELL
Outsider Hippie Woman Art
(c) Singleton
SOLD

We went there,
laughing,
stumbling,
gathering twigs and rocks and shells...

And lost ourselves...

Wandering
deeper and
deeper into the woods....

Until the only way back
was to follow the
trail of broken
twigs and rocks and shells....

To build a cocoon
from the debris....

MARTINI MOON (c) Singleton Outsider Art 2007

Martini Moon
Outsider Woman Hippie Artwork
(C)2007, Singleton

I wasn't looking
So I can't look you in the eyes.

I have to sneak peeks,
So I'll remember
in the morning,
or maybe forever...
dancing
ever so slow
to The National Anthem

And it's so hot in here...
with Jimmy Page and Tina Turner
walls
holding up the sky...

But we laugh,
and
ever so slow,
under the blue martini moon...
I find your eyes

Molly in the Moon

Outsider Art
Molly in The Moon
(c) Singleton 2006

Perhaps you know the spirit of Molly, she is in every neighborhood. Adults, children and neighborhood pets gravitate towards her on an as needed basis.

Sometimes one needs a hug or some sage advice or maybe just a bite to eat or a moment away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world..Molly is always there.

Just because she smokes like a chimney and occasionally enjoys a cold one, does not mean that she is impaired in any way, but that she understands that we can't all be perfect all of the time.

She is a sanctuary in and of herself and she seems to always see things from the bright side of the moon.

Molly in the Moon forever dances with out highest noon.
