Touching Sirena, Singleton Hippie Art on hand drum

TOUCHING SIRENA
(c) Singleton
Hippie Art on Giant Gourd Hand Drum

"The dirty sands shifted,
ever so slightly,
and sunlight scattered through the darkness....
instant fireflies falling in the rheumy river....

She reached up and touched one....
two...
caught another...
building a candelabra
from the shattered rays
to light her way....
As
the currents crawled,
trickled, tripped,
snaked
through the woods....
running north, north east...
clinging to the thick earth,
sloshing past alligator eyes...
and banjos
until
Sirena,
swimming amongst the Manatee,
reached the salty sea.....
and the waters made brackish love to each other....

Here,
she became whole again...
The free spirited  Hippie Princess of the River,
and Mermaid of the Sea...
Sweet Sirena...
Mother of it all....

Your art allows me the chance to perceive things in entirely new ways, and has helped me smile (& just breathe) through some dark times over the years. There's such beauty & truth in these stories! I really can't thank you enough for sharing your incredible gift with the world.
