Touching Sirena, Singleton Hippie Art on hand drum
TOUCHING SIRENA
(c) Singleton
Hippie Art on Giant Gourd Hand Drum
"The dirty sands shifted,
ever so slightly,
and sunlight scattered through the darkness....
instant fireflies falling in the rheumy river....
She reached up and touched one....
two...
caught another...
building a candelabra
from the shattered rays
to light her way....
As
the currents crawled,
trickled, tripped,
snaked
through the woods....
running north, north east...
clinging to the thick earth,
sloshing past alligator eyes...
and banjos
until
Sirena,
swimming amongst the Manatee,
reached the salty sea.....
and the waters made brackish love to each other....
Here,
she became whole again...
The free spirited Hippie Princess of the River,
and Mermaid of the Sea...
Sweet Sirena...
Mother of it all....

Arjana Rising...
ARJANA RISING
(c) Singleton 2015
"The night fell off her shoulders,
a silky vintage nightgown
slipping to the floor,
sliding down the banks into the blue river...
And he embraced her.
Ran his fingers across her lips,
and began to drum quietly on her flesh,
to paint her with the rhythm of
his dreams...
to lift her up....
to watch her
Dance....
into the new day rising....
Paradise at his fingertips...."
