Peace doesn't have to be a Fairytale, Singleton Hippie Art
Peace doesn't have to be a Fairytale
(c) Singleton
I turn the gilded pages,
tattered diary with the hippie swirls
and gothic font,
and read the
everyday ho-hum story of my life.
In between the sharpie doodles,
the I-love-you's,
the make believe endings,
little heartaches
scamper like winter mice,
their skinny little tails
swishing past the punch lines.
I touch the pages
and see the little windows to peace...
the moments,
buried like the prize at the bottomof the cracker jack box,
where in the midst of chaos,
peace fell...
an abandoned tu-tu on the stage floor....
Peace doesn't have to be a fairytale...
if you leave the windows open....

oh yes it's always there for we lovers- winter mice hh I know them too..sandy
Smiling with Sandy....
Lovers are believers....
And may I always believe in Fairytales:)
these words have inspired me to spread the word of peace. people always say that we cannot have peace because there is just to much hate in this world. one by one our voices can be heard.
One...We have to whisper it, sing it, say it...Believe it...
It can come true...
One soul at a time:)
I will whisper it in the wind,
sing it at the market,
say it to all those who cross my path,
and believe it each moment.
peace&love to everyone
Oh, you go girl! Whisper it loud and whisper it soft....over and over again...
a mantra,
a record spinning in the same old groove!
Peace and Love!
Singleton, have you published a book of your poems?
