Wasted, Singleton 2007, Outsider Art

WASTED
(c) Singleton 2007

You didn't know
and you
couldn't think
and
it wouldn't have
mattered
if you
did.

You
were just
drifting,
collecting
Friday night beers
and quarters to
call home with.

And last call,
came way to soon
and
midnight lay
like a wet blanket
suffocating
pushing
you
under.

And you made your wish,
if I could have one wish...

"I just want you to love me"

and I laughed at the silly
face you made...

Wasted words, my sweet baby....
You should have wished for
peace...

I would have loved you anyway....

C...."a vein maybe".....Can you read me by now or what? That is sooooo amazing!!! This little girl started with a tea stain on a blank piece of water-color paper, and a story, that started long before....
but, you knew that, didn't you?

This is so deep, yet you can sooo make it light and sing ... I admire your creativity!

Love this poem so much! And the picture is new, and your style is braching away like the coral reefs, a whole different world right over the next underwater hill or valley.

YOu are the bomb, you can't call anyone else that. That's what you are.

eric...I was just rambling and telling and as SLB said long ago, sometimes the greatest peace is born from the wreckage.....

Silly wishes...why do we always wish for that which we already know will happen or that which we know will never be.
He simply opted to have his wishes come true now, knowing peace is waiting until the end.
