In the Deep Deep Sea..., Singleton, 2007, Outsider Art

In The Deep Deep Sea...
Outsider Hippie Woman Art
(c) Singleton 2007

SOLD

In the deep, deep sea
We played Russian Roulette,
and you gambled with fate...
stuffing your pockets with Christmas tinsel tokens...

If you could cash them in at the corner store,
you'd be a millionaire,
but it's the deep, deep sea...
and when we don't hold on to them for dear life,
they're pulled away....

by the clawing, scratching tide ...

Emptying your blue jeaned pockets...
splashing your soul ...
burying you...
face first
into the sand....

81/2 by 11 cardstock. Colored markers, pencils, pens, soul, and all that hoo hah

Oh I want you to meet us at the beach! That would be the bomb....a buncha mermaids plopped up in the sand drinking bloody Mary's in the morning, Margaritas in the sun, and Michelobs at dusk .....gathering battered little seashells for keepers, and telling tattered little stories for laughs, and random tears....Yeah, that would be the bomb!

And you're right, C, this time, it's me!

Peace and love

You know? Its really too easy to compliment you for your work. This is true culture. Thanks for stopping by my site, justgivemepeace. I write a lot of different stuff, and some of it is quite a strong cup of tea. I thank you for your attention to my work, though. Thanks.
