The Sound of Colors, Singleton Hippie Art

I wandered in
cowboy booted and free,
natty little threadbear wings tucked in a blue jean pocket,
crumpled and folded,
and loved....

And smiled hugely at the martini moon,
already drunk,
and plunked on his side,
teeter tottering in the sky...

I giggled to myself,
the best company in the bar,
and parked my
imagination
and
peace~love hoo~hah
next to
a man who didn't want to be there
and
didn't see what I saw...

The Pixies....

And the Moon when he winked,
woozy and boozy,
and barely tethered to the sky....

The man who didn't dream in color....

Words and Art (c) Hippie Singleton 2009

Oh Maithri....
I think of you so often,
hear your words in the wind....
Know them...
an echo...
a prayer for peace and love.
Please know that I wish for you all that you dream of...
now,
and for all the days not yet born...
Much Love

JaVi...Yes, you are so very very right....
And that's why we sometimes have to be Pixies...
for peace...
nameless colors....
accidental music...
We sometimes have to take their hands and lead them
to where they can see with their own eyes..
And believe again.
Much Peace and happy, happy Holidays....May they blessed with the colors of a new day.

Nice story you got here. It would be great to read something more concerning that theme. Thanks for posting this info.

Sometimes i think i'm a wave about to break against those rocks... to dissolve, to shatter like sea glass against an unkind world...

But something tells me to believe... To remember that in spite of our wounds and angry tears... the ocean will not let us go...

Today i need to believe that...

In the ocean...

In an unlived dream, in the goodness that lies in all of us...

Hard as it may be...hard as the wind is blowing...

I still believe,

Send me a butterfly if you can Peace angel,

Loving you always,
Maithri

And suddenly,
there are 10,000 accidental butterflies,
dancing in the reflection of
mudpuddles,
hiding in the shadows of twisted trees,
hovered together in tiny stacks of pick up sticks,
playing pixie in the loose gravel of dirt roads,
painted on the sides of empty buildings...
They're everywhere,
wings slowly
surely
lifting
together...

Because you believe.....

Much love friend, today and always.....

Maithri...

Just checking in on you friend, through butterfly eyes.....

You have no idea,
How much your words mean...

How I see them...
Flying towards my windscreen in the rain
Dancing blue and brilliant
outside hospital windows...

Reminding me to believe,

All my love to you peace angel
and thank you
for it all,

M

And if I could copy and paste your post...
word for word....

This, too would be true...

from me to you...
And I thank you all the time...
in traffic,
grocery store lines,
on abandoned dirt trails....
at the sea,
the river, knee high in mud,
at red lights,
in waiting rooms....

all the places butterflies light....
