"Just Give Me Peace" she said....
(c) Singleton 2008
Over and over again,
a mantra,
a record grooving, grinding
grating,
on the same old words
makin' music
outa
vinyl dreams.
She dances in the dark,
in the early mornin'
peace,
makin' love to the
new day,
gifted,
free.....
scribblin' love letters to the past,
stone washed,
torn,
and raveled.....
but,
it's all the same....
a mantra,
a record,
grooving, grinding, grating
on the same old words....
"Just give me peace" she said....
And in the wind,
she heard him say
"Amen"

Sandi....
It's a pleasure to meet you! Here's to hoping Dad continues making a wonderful recovery, and while I can tell your week has been one helluva ride, you tell the story beautifully!
Lyrically....
Girl, I gotta come over and see your new stuff! I fell in love with the way you color the world, the moment I saw your works!
Peace~love
It's Friday,
Enjoy it friends
Preach it my sister,
Makin love to the new day...
These words, this art
are a true peace~love meditation.
I'm at the hospital on one of my
'14 hour shifts'
I woke up this mornin and I swear
the first thing I said was...
Dont rock my peace ;)
... And there goes my pager...
My love to you dear friend,
You are the truth,
Maithri
Maithri,
God bless you, baby!
Remind me
and next time
I'll send you
my giant
Do NOT rock my peace button.
I scribbled it out on
a Martini Mooned Friday night,
glued it on an old CD
and pinned it to my belt....
And somehow,
with that giant
statement clunking at
my waist,
I walked right into a
fairytale....
And not the first
person,
then or after,
rocked our story.....
Much love to you these
hard working days, friend....
Peace~love
and lunchtime is more welcome at one!
