Little White Lies, Singleton Hippie Art
Little White Lies
(c) Singleton 2009
SOLD
Standing over me
like an aging rock star,
wearing his crystal blue eyes like
bling...
he muttered
"Silly little girl
with all your peace~love hoo~hah,
who do you think believes you?"
And I never lifted my head,
never let go of the colors,
the lines,
the flow...
Never let go of the spirit...
"I do"....
Drawn on reclaimed cardstock....colored markers, pencils, ink, peace, love, and yesterday.
Labels:
drawing,
feel the love,
hippie art,
lies,
magazine cover,
peace,
peace sign,
rock star,
singleton,
spirit

And so...
a circle began with one...
I believe.
And I believe, too...
May the circle grow and grow and grow....
Right! Never let go!
Saintly....everything else is just stuff...It's the spirit that's the fighter in all of us. Clink!
Your art is AMAZING! So happy to have stumbled upon your blog.
Deborah....Thank you so very, very much.
And peace, may it shine on and on and on...
I just wanted to say.
That I Love this poem.
I have read it to so many people (and sent them the link to go to the site!).
I just feel like this is me.
So many people say things like that to me, and I've always said it doesn't matter what they think, it matters what I think.
kudos to this sister.

I heard it was hard to get a beer in that place. Turn the page. Clink.
It's really, really hard to get a beer there now....Just a an empty dusty parking lot...
And they say late at night, sometimes,
you can hear the glasses clinkin'...
in the wind....
Cheers! Wishing you good stuff...
