I scrunched my toes
deep into the sand
and held on for
a never~ever again
forever...

waiting to breathe....

To be lifted up again...

To see the sun....

And then....

I felt the tiniest thread
of change...
black waters turning tepid blue,
champagne chilled
and full of
life...

And I remembered...
what I needed to share....

Peace...."
