A Little Peace and Love

I found some dusty old
sidewalk chalk
in a zip lock bag,
buried under photos,
and yellowed
pages of
poetry
written from the rooftop
of another life...
and there was magic in that bag....
Technicolor remembrances
of
when we believed....
Pastel memories...
And so
I tell the story again...
in different colors...
but the ending is
always the same...
"Peace~love"

an endless wall,
a never ending ream of paper...
the ending would always be the same...
Isn't it funny that we spend so much of our lives searching for
a gazillion things, moments, opportunities...
climbing, falling, struggling...
when the one thing that can keep us standing, believing, being one...
is peace and love!
