Wedding Box
Outsider Hippie Keepsake Box
(C) Singleton 2006
Pretty little flowers scattered all around,
I tuck my memories here for safeness
then
count to ten and...
it's an ever-empty little box
contents on the floor
And I see you...
watching me...
(As if I care)
I kick the petals to the side
dancing in the dust
and post my keep-out sign
like dirty laundry on the line
The wedding box.
And all that other hoo-ha
All that stuff I use... in and on The Wedding Box

Looking at these photos & then, sitting here, looking at this piece...I am perplexed. These pictures don't even come close to giving this piece justice. Oh well, I guess my 3 year old kodak can only so so much...if only my eyes could be the camera...
did you get married????????????
I did...3 years ago & that was the beginning of this box. My dear sister got it for my wedding.
It began, brand new, as a quality white, wooden wedding box. You know, a keepsake box, with a frame for the top.
With everything going on, it was never used as a wedding box & my sister never gave it to me.
It still is a quality wooden keepsake box. It's still the Wedding Box...it's just not My Wedding Box.
actually, the flowers were there. strewn across the bottom. Just like at the beach. And it's still The Wedding Box.
you see them, dont you?
yes, the roses, they are still there
no, I meant the other hoo-ha
I'm looking...
LL...you meant the flies, didn't you? I see them, but like butterflies they are free....and flit in and out...they're just dirty, that's all....
how cool!
