Kaleidescope Kite, Singleton

Kaleidescope Kite
Outsider Hippie Art on legal envelope
(C) Singleton 2006

My fingers clutch at the tattered string,
and the pretty little kite floats away...

I'm dancing in our daydream,
tethered to your ghost....
barefoot and bluejeaned with
the music barely on

An empty sky swallows whole
what was and "what should never be"

But it's your words I miss the most.

Color markers and pen on another empty envelope
Inspired by Zepplin, MaryEllen, Those Fateful Blue Eyes
and the abundance of letter size envelopes that kept making their way to the beer lined coffee table

  2. Ah, you already have that link sister! It's infinite and cannot be limited by words, lines, monitors and it cannot be bothered by HTML.

  3. You cannot imagine how flattered I am to have you connect my are with SAS the artist. Although we both do have that hard edge approach and the lack of fear of our use of color. You two are so lucky to be so close - I can promise you it is a true gift. Please turn and appreciate the gift you both have in each other. Keep me in mind, I'm gonna go try to hike tomorrow. Smooth my destiny SAS and SLB

  4. It is Saturday p.m. I just wanted you 2 skinny sis's to know I actually hiked. I actually wanted you to know first because you've been so nice to me here on blog and I appreciate it. (I'm posting this message on both of your sites) I will blog the day later, post a few pics, and if you will trust me with it, you can send me an both of your email addys over our ebay connection (through Crunchyard) and I'll send you an invite to the album on Webshots where I store my photography. I'm butt tired right now, but just know I did good, had a great day and will go again. HURRAH! Big smiles.

  5. Your art fascinates me - it's so freely structured. Opens my mind and feeds my color hunger. Great! Oh, yes, thank you for your comments on Sex after AARP!

  6. Led Zepplin inspires a lot of us...

"And as we wind on down the road...

Our shadows taller than our souls

There walks a lady we all know

Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold

And if you listen very hard

The tune will come to you at last

When all are one and one is all--yeah-yeah
To be a rock and not roll

And she's buying a stair way to hea-en"

    Clink! To listening, hearing, seeing.....
    and the tunes that come
when "all are one and one is all"!
